CARY NORD WILL BE AT OUR CONVENTION ON DECEMBER 2ND & 3RD OF 2023
Cary Nord is a Canadian comic book artist best known for his work on the award-winning series “Conan the Barbarian.” Born in 1961, he began his career in commercial illustration before transitioning to comic books in the early 1990s. His early work included titles such as “Star Wars,” “X-Men,” and “The Avengers,” but it was his run on “Conan” that cemented his reputation as a top-tier artist. Nord’s distinctive style blends elements of classic pulp illustration with a more contemporary, dynamic approach, resulting in vivid, highly detailed artwork that captures the primal energy of the stories he illustrates.
In addition to his work on “Conan,” Nord has also contributed to other high-profile titles such as “Daredevil,” “Wolverine,” and “Silver Surfer.” His work has been praised for its muscular, kinetic quality, as well as for its ability to convey the raw emotion and intensity of the stories he illustrates. In recognition of his contributions to the industry, Nord has been nominated for numerous awards over the course of his career, and in 2018 he was inducted into the Joe Shuster Canadian Comic Book Creator Hall of Fame.
