Panagiota (Pat) Tsibalidi, the face behind the ANIMAfelis Creative Space is a professional freelance graphic designer and illustrator located in Athens, Greece. She studied at the Technological Institute of Athens, faculty of fine Arts and Design, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and also attended a one-year course on Creating Comics at Ornerakis School of Applied Arts. She’s been working professionally as a graphic designer since 2006 but is also an illustrator and an amateur comic-book artist. She’s designed and illustrated various books and/or book covers mainly for Greek publishing houses as well as a few short comic stories found in Greek fanzines and a couple of self-published Greek collections of comics and illustrations named “Journey over the Stars”, 2017 and “Elpis and Eros”, 2019. She also dabbles a bit in writing and some of her short stories can be found in the Greek anthology “Ιστορίες της Γιαγιάς Ιτιάς”, 2017 by the writing team of the Greek online fantasy magazine, willowisps.gr.
Lately, as a freelancer, she’s been focusing more towards her passion for creating illustrations and is on the lookout for diverse artistic projects and collaborations that can fulfill her creative drive. One such project was a little book titled “12 + 1 Truths Αbout Α Man Who Only Loved Books”, where she was tasked with illustrating each of the thirteen 121-words long flash fiction stories written by Andreas Michaelides as well as the cover spread. This was a limited print run collaborative project for 121 Words, a site dedicated to showcasing and spreading flash fiction literature.
She enjoys reading, petting -and drawing- felines, playing RPG’s and watching anime, Netflix and Chillin’ , trying to implement the practical side of Well-being in her everyday life and pondering the Meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything along with other like-minded individuals.
