With a black-and-white aesthetic, exaggerated details and lines, and classical music accompanied by a violinist’s grumbling, Alexandra’s life has always been a fusion of art and sound. Born in Athens in 2001, she was destined to pursue both painting and music, even though finding a way to combine the two often felt like an endless battle. She has been painting for as long as she can remember and has studied classical violin since the moment a child can stand on their own two feet (or so they say). There is also a popular rumor suggesting that, as far back as she can recall, she has been studying at the University of West Attica since 2019, in the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts. But this has remained more of an urban legend, as music festivals and exhibitions have consumed much of her time, with her regular participation in recent years.
In 2024, she achieved a significant milestone, publishing her first illustrated book titled Akroproro, under Kyverti Editions. When it comes to her design work, Alexandra often struggled to find a balance between her deep immersion in the classical repertoire (which she not only performs but also listens to fanatically while painting) and her artistic creations. Her goal was to translate the essence of concerts, symphonies, sonatas, and other musical forms into visual art, creating images that captured what the great classical composers conveyed through their music.
After countless hours of study and design, the prophecy was fulfilled: most of her artwork is now inspired by her favorite classical compositions. Feel free to ask her for more details! She would be delighted to share and loves to dive into the fascinating lives and works of the classical greats one of her favorite pastimes, after all, is indulging in juicy gossip about them.
