Anna Holak is a Polish-Greek artist. She studied acting, and psychology, before winning the 1st place at the 8th National Comics Competition (and the scholarship that came with it). She holds a BA First Class Honours in Comics from Middlesex University.
She has worked for several years as a tattoo artist, but is currently focusing on her comics and illustration work. She prefers working with traditional media like watercolours, inks, and colour pencils. She believes that, in a world that’s becoming crueller by the minute, creating soft, whimsical art is an act of resistance. Her comics have been part of group exhibitions in Athens, and her comic Cupid Cafe won the 2024 EBGE Award for best self-published work. She lives in Athens, Greece.
