Alex Horley (real name Alessandro Orlandelli) is an Italian illustrator and comic book artist. Born in 1970. He was influenced at an early age by American comics, especially Marvel’s. After discovering the works of Frank Frazetta he started studying painting with oils. After collaborating on some Italian RPG magazines he started working for DC comics in the mid 90s, especially on Lobo. Over the years he worked for DC, Dark Horse , Verotik, Image and on many covers for Heavy Metal magazine. Due to his love for painting he found an outlet for this passion working on trading cards for Magic the Gathering and other games. In 2007 he started his ongoing collaboration with Blizzard for which he worked on numerous projects, including cards, comics, design and packaging art. He’s currently working on Blizzard’s Heartstone, Magic and is regular cover artist for Savage Sword of Conan. Recently, he did a fully painted issue of Conan the Barbarian.
