Alessandro Pastrovicchio is one of the most important modern representatives of the Italian comics with Disney characters. Born in Trieste (1977), he began his career in 1998 as an inker for the stories made by his older brother, Lorenzo, who had already began his collaboration with Disney Italia. Soon he began drawing his own comics, debuting with the 15-page “Paperino e Paperoga a Paperlux Hotel”.
He has worked on many important titles, such as “PK”, “Wizards of Mickey”, “Donald Quest”, “Spookyzone”, “Time Machine (Mis)Adventures”, “Diary of a Wacky Knight”, while recently his wonderful adaptation of the classic silent film “A Trip To The Moon” into a comics story starring Donald Duck, written by Bruno Enna, as well as his participation in the… “story of the century”, “Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime”, a collaboration between Disney and Marvel written by Aaron Paul, drew a lot of attention.
Moreover, he has collaborated with Edizioni Piemme for the graphic part of a book written by Geronimo Stilton (2007), with Star Comics (2008), while from 2011 he has been collaborating also with Sergio Bonelli Editore on titles such as “Saguaro”, “Morgan Lost” and “Dragonero”.
