About Finos Film
Finos Film has defined one of the most important chapters of Greek Cinema, and a whole era of moviemaking in Greece. It’s a company inextricably linked to its founder Filopomin Finos, the person who set the foundation of “Greek cinema” and who left an indelible mark regarding the modernization of Greek movie production. Since 1943, with the screening of its first film “The Voice of the Heart”, until January of 1977 with the release of the company’s last film “Educating Mr. Giorgis”, Finos Film has set an admirable track record. By producing 187 films over a period of 34 years, Finos Film has left its mark like no other production company in the history of Greek cinema. In the process of producing these films, a multitude of artists, creators and technicians emerged, stars were born, and unforgettable moments were created, moments cherished by millions of viewers in Greece and worldwide.
